Headphones - Uplifting playlist

Sometimes I wake up with an urge to listen to uplifting songs so I use this playlist.
To shake sadness, running, when I attempt to skate or even for when I'm just around doing something and want music on. It gets me moving and pumped up.

Although not all the songs are necessarily "happy", they still make me feel good. Some songs I really like because of they catchy rhythm and others because of the lyrics or both combined.

These songs give me energy and put me in such a good mood that I can't help making some (ridiculous) moves, singing out loud and pretty much jumping around when I hear them.

The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows

A super random post, but I need to share this.

Yesterday I came across a mind-blowing youtube channel.
I watched a video without quite understanding what was the channel about and then 'wow, just wow'

You know that feeling of finding exactly what you needed? Exactly
When you find something capable of resembling exactly what you feel? Yeah

I'm talking about The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows. Described as a 'web series that defines newly invented words for strangely powerful emotions'.

I find this idea magical!!

If you watch any videos let me know which words you can relate the most.
Also did you already know this channel?

James Bay

James Bay appeared on my youtube subscriptions feed last year with Forever because of BBC Radio 1 and got me like 'hum I don't know this guy so let's check him out', but I had no idea I was going to fell in love this much.

I'm actually listening his songs right now! On repeat since I woke up!

I think If You Ever Want To Be In Love is my favourite song, somehow it puts me in a good mood and I can't help dancing a little bit and singing along. But I absolutely love Let It Go, Move Together, Stealing Cars, When We Were On Fire, Heavy Handed, Hold Back The River, Hear Your Heart and I guess all the others songs too.

I don't have much more to say about James Bay. I just love him, his long hair and his hat, his voice and his songs. I'm mean, he is pretty awesome!

Fingers crossed I'm seeing him and also Sam Smith live in July!!

Are you a James Bay fan? Let me know what you think about his songs

Sam Garrett

Someone which songs I didn't like at all.
I came across his SoundCloud somehow last year and at first I was like 'Nah, I don't like this', but 1 or 2 months later I came across his songs again and fell in love - thanks to some of Ben's Visual Vibes.
I couldn't believe it was the same Sam Garrett from months ago, I mean how can my tastes change that quick? I have no idea, but now I'm like 'How could I not love his songs?'

I think Hope is my favourite, but I kind of feel bad saying that as I love all of them. Can they all be my favourites? Yeah, let's say 'yes'

His songs put me in a zen mode. I feel they are all about positive vibes, love, celebrating life, nature and yourself. Also, his voice is so relaxing to listen to.

Did you already know Sam's songs?
If not, go check them out on SoundCloud and let me know what you think

Happy weekend!! :)

Youtubers | Dan The Director

Ben introduce me to Dan's Youtube channel a couple of months ago and the first video I decided to watch was 'Press Play, Smile' and I can say for sure that it was a great first impression.

After that video I became a subscriber and watched all the others videos. At the time he had the channel in standby mode so I was just following him through instagram and Ben's vlogs in South Africa.

Recently he got back to the channel uploading weekly videos (yay) and last Wednesday released a video that has become my favourite. The video I'm talking about is the one below, features my favourite youtuber and I may have cried a little bit while watching it.

This video got me emotional and made me think a lot about my life

Besides his talent as a filmmaker (sooo creative), Dan's energy is contagious and I love his positivity and love for life. He's a truly inspirational person

Can't wait to see what his channel brings!!
Did you already know Dan's channel?

See you on Monday!

Youtubers | Annie Jaffrey

Happy Friday!! Thought I would share one of my favourite youtubers with you again.

Annie makes videos about things like beauty, fashion and health so her channel is totally different from the other 3 youtubers I've shared before.

I think she was the first health youtuber I came across with, when I was just starting to discover youtubers and she was the one do make me think about my body health. She inspired me to try to eat healthier and take care of my body way before I knew anything about plant-based diet.

Somehow, I lost her and when I found her again she had transitioned to eating 100% raw. At the time, I was already thinking about changing my diet so she inspired and encouraged me to do it even more.

I used to watch her fashion (hauls) and healthy related videos, just because makeup is not my thing and those two topics were my favourites, but nowadays I watch all her videos, even the ones related to beauty (hair, skin, makeup) as I get to know vegan brands (which I love).

I get so much happiness and motivation just from watching her videos. She radiates energy!
Yeah, you can tell I'm a big fan of her. She has such a positive spirit and seems so friendly. I would love to meet her in person.

The video I've chosen to share with you is quite long, but it's one of my favourite videos of her. I can relate to it a lot

She also has a blog, Instagram and Tumblr accounts that you should definitely check out.

Did you know Annie?

Sam Smith

I'm sure you all already know Sam Smith but if you are like me, you didn't like him at first. Obviously not as a person, I just didn't like the first songs I've heard (and I still don't).

Sam got my attention and interest with Latch in acoustic and at first, I couldn't relate he was the same Sam that everyone was crazy about because of La La La with Naughty Boy and Latch with Disclosure. I thought he was some random guy doing covers on Youtube, yes everyone was already crazy about him and I was just starting to discover his songs.

This guy has an incredible voice that I'm super passionate about. I think his voice is so beautiful, emotive and relaxed at the same time. I love to hear his songs in acoustic and at concerts, some of them more than in studio versions. In the meantime, just through YouTube but seeing him live is definitely on my bucket list. What annoys me is that he has already been at a Festival not far from where I live but at the time I didn't know much about him.

Sam was the best surprise of 2014 and definitely my favourite artist of the year, even though I can't say I like all the songs I know.
I can't seriously pick a favourite song. I don't love all of them but I just can't choose a favourite between the ones I like so here's a playlist with all of them, excluding a lot of acoustics and live versions because otherwise this playlist would be 3 times bigger. I hope you enjoy them!

While writing this post I was listening to his songs and just found out some that I didn't know *happy me*

Do you like Sam Smith? What's your favourite song, if you can pick one?

Lots of hugs, A

Youtubers | Ben Brown

Happy New Year :)
I hope you are feeling good and ready for an awesome year! Well, I'm quite ill but I'm not feeling that bad, it's just a cold.

Anyway, to start the year with good vibes and be inspired by positive attitude, I encourage you to visit Ben's YouTube channel and watch one of his vlogs, I'm sure you'll like it!

I know Ben's channel since 2013 because of Louis, but to be honest, for a long time, I didn't like his vlogs (I'm not quite sure why) and I would only watch them when Louis appeared.

I guess that I started to actually follow his vlogs early in 2014 (and realized that I was missing a lot of good stuff) and now he's one of my favourite youtubers, no doubts! Besides daily vlogs, he also does Visual Vibes films from time to time, some incredible videos.

Ben is an awesome guy and I'm always looking forward to watching his vlogs and follow his adventures. He does an amazing job as a film maker. Plus he's an awesome photographer (you should check out his tumblr and instagram).

The Script - Superheros

Hey, how are you? I hope you are having a good day!!

So I wanted to launch a new category today, but I couldn't finish the first post (kind of a long one and I'm having difficulties to choose the right words and express myself properly so I don't want to publish it yet) but I also didn't want to not publish today as I normally do it every Mondays and Fridays or Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Also, the new category I was talking about is about food so let me know if you would like me to launch it or not. If you do, I will launch it next Wednesday because I already have another category to launch next Monday - about motivation and positive messages.

Enough of rambling and let's get to the actual purpose of this post.
I'm not a huge The Script songs fan, but I definitely love some of them and Superheroes is probably my favourite one.

I heard this song for the first time on the radio, but it was just a little bit and got me like, 'I need to find this song' and when I finally found it I couldn't stop listening to it. I love the message behind the lyrics and I feel they tell a story.

Do you like this song?

Let me know what you think about the food category. Do you want me to launch it or not?
And also let me know if you want a motivational and positive category on the blog.

Youtubers | Will Darbyshire

Louis introduce me to Will last year and he got my attention because of his accent and glasses and he just seemed to be a nice guy so I've started to follow his social medias and later on he started a YouTube channel and of course I had do subscribe right away and now he's one of my favourite youtubers. His videos are a breath of fresh air

Will seems to be so intelligent and the kind of people that thinks a lot about life and the meaning of others stuff, why everything is in a certain way and things like that. He seems to be so interested about the meaning of life and how strange is this world, I don't know I just feel like he's always thinking.

There is something about Will that makes me feel a huge connection with him, but I'm not sure why.  I guess I just feel like we think the same way, plus I also see myself as an introvert.

I've never talked to him but I kind of think he understands me so I would love to just sit down with him and talk about life and our messy minds

Hunter Hayes - Invisible

The first time I heard this song, almost a year ago, I cried (not in a sad way) and to this day I can't sing along to the song without getting emotional so you can already imagine how much I love it.

This song is really special to me and almost a year after still gives me chills every time I hear it so I guess there's not much more to say. I hope you like it

I prefer the lyric video but you can also watch the official music video on Youtube.

Youtubers | FunForLouis

YouTube is a huge part of my life and Louis is my favorite youtuber so I couldn't write about youtubers without mentioning him. He's like my treasure, but I think he deserves way more subscribers and everyone should know this awesome guy so here I am sharing my favourite one with you.

I found his channel on august 2013 because of another youtuber and I'm a subscriber since then. I've traveled to England, United States, Mexico, India, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Brazil, China and several other countries without leaving my room and it seems like I know those places so I'm basically traveling through his vlogs.

There's something special about Louis and he definitely has some kind of special connection with life, he seems to be such a humble and down to earth person, always spreading positive vibes and living the adventure and he just amazes me. Louis' the kind of people I want to have in my life and surround myself with so I would love to have him as a friend.

Did you know Louis? If not go follow him and find more about his adventures.

OneRepublic - I Lived

I fell in love with this song back in December 2013 and it's one of my all time favourite songs, especially the lyrics.

I think that anyone can relate to this song because it's like a wish and I guess we all wish to live and enjoy every moment, I mean I would be glad to say 'I swear I lived' or 'I did it all'. The official video came up this September and it's absolutely perfect, has such a strong message and story that made me a bit emotional.

Definitely my favourite OneRepublic song

An uplifting song. A song about life that encourages me to make the most of it

Lots of hugs, A
